On the GEMA online portal, GEMA members and customers can handle everything digitally: register works or music, manage their accounts, or submit a request. All practical services are brought together here, giving you access to your data at any time and a clear overview of your finances. In 2025, there were 673,906 customer logins and 237,591 member logins; 29.5% of all member inquiries and 42.3% of all customer inquiries were submitted via the online portal.

Your feedback matters to us! Every day, thousands of members and music users interact with GEMA—whether through our member and customer service representatives, our field staff, or our website. We ask for feedback with every interaction because we are committed to continuously improving our services. Recently, we’ve stopped manually processing the countless pieces of feedback on a random basis; instead, every single comment is quickly read, pre-sorted, and translated into concrete recommendations for action using an AI solution we developed specifically for this purpose. This way, we’re always up to date on the wishes of our members and music users and can act quickly.

the GEMA Expert: Chatbot Melody

Hardly anyone is as deeply immersed in the GEMA universe as our chatbot Melody. That’s why our expert is used by creators, publishers, and music users, as well as by employees. Since the beginning of the year, Melody has provided 150,370 responses, including 19,626 (79.6% positive feedback) to internal GEMA users and 130,744 (69.0% positive feedback) to external chatters.
