Music helps us start the day, wake up, and get going. This is also reflected on the radio. That’s why the number of songs played on the radio rises sharply starting at 6 a.m. and peaks around 10 a.m. In the afternoon, there is a second surge until around 5 p.m. Around that time, however, the number of songs is lower. In percentage terms, this means: 34.2% of all radio songs are played between 4 a.m. and 12 p.m.; 34.0% between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.; 31.8% between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m.
