IMPORTANT PILLAR: COOPERATION WITH AFFILIATED COMPANIES
Cooperation with sister societies is an important pillar of our success. In addition to reciprocal agreements with foreign societies, the International Copyright Enterprise (ICE) stands out. The licensing and processing hub was established in 2015 by the partners GEMA, PRS for Music (United Kingdom) and STIM (Sweden), and is now one of the leading platforms for digital music rights in Europe.
ICE is the market leader in rights exploitation for its participating rights holders. In the next step, all partners will combine their documentation, i.e., their databases of works.
IN DEMAND EVERYWHERE: GEMA AS A DATA expert
Whether it's politics, IT, the music industry, or the interested public: whenever it comes to data, facts, and figures about music, we are the first port of call.
The music business is also a data business. Concert and other music registrations give us deep insight into the nature of the musical landscape in Germany.
Backstage pro: THE SOCIAL NETWORK FOR THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

More visibility, more contacts, more opportunities – we want to offer all this to our members. That's why we have been cooperating with
BackstagePRO, an established social network for musicians, bands, and event organizers. Together with our new partner, we are creating expanded opportunities for networking and exchange within the entire music industry. GEMA members benefit from new exclusive features that allow them to network and exchange ideas even more effectively within their community.
